West Cheshire Autism Hub to join Disability Positive

West Cheshire Autism Hub will become part of Disability Positive from 1st November 2026, bringing together two organisations committed to supporting disabled and autistic people across Cheshire.

West Cheshire Autism Hub provides information, advice and support to autistic adults and their families, helping people access the right support, make connections and navigate services.

From 1 November 2026, the Hub will join Disability Positive, a Disabled People’s Organisation that supports disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, their families and carers.

The move will provide a strong home for the Hub and enable its work to sit alongside Disability Positive’s wider range of services and support.

Most importantly, the focus remains on the people who use the Hub. We understand that changes to services can sometimes create uncertainty, so our priority will be to make the transition as smooth as possible and keep people informed.

As a Disabled People’s Organisation, Disability Positive is led by and works alongside disabled people. Lived experience shapes how we work, the support we provide and how we develop our services. We are looking forward to welcoming the West Cheshire Autism Hub and building on the important role it already plays within the local community.

Lynne Turnbull, CEO at Disability Positive, said:

“We’re really pleased to welcome West Cheshire Autism Hub to Disability Positive. There is a strong fit between the work of the Hub and our commitment to ensuring disabled people have access to the information, support and opportunities they need.

“We know how important the Hub is to autistic people and their families in West Cheshire. Our focus will be on providing continuity and reassurance, while working with the people who use the Hub to build on what already works and shape its future development.”

The change will take effect from 1st November 2026.

We will share further information about the Hub, how to access support and any updated contact details as part of the transition.
