Dial West Cheshire, the service provider of the West Cheshire Autism Hub, is delighted to have been awarded funding from July 2023 to March 2025 by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to implement a mentoring and peer support project at the autism hub.
Mentor and Grow is a project where the autistic community and their allies support autistic people, through volunteering. There are different ways to get involved for example volunteers can:
- work with individuals to help set and achieve personal goals.
- provide peer support to help people develop a positive autistic identity.
- provide information, guidance and signposting.
Mentor and Grow will develop the skills of autistic adults or those with lived experience of autism to support others to meet their goals and aspirations, through training, support and supervision. We are happy to welcome applications from people who are good listeners, who are understanding, empowering, organised and willing to learn new skills.
For more information about Mentor and Grow or to get involved, please contact Meaghan McCauley, Dial’s Volunteering and Learning Manager on 01244 345 655 or email email@example.com
