Service Announcement – 12 December 2025

For some time, the West Cheshire Autism Hub’s funding has been under review by NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board and Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Dial West Cheshire’s current grant agreement for this service is due to expire at the end of January 2026. We have been told that there will be funding from the NHS for community-based autism services as from the 1st February. However, we understand the funding on offer is significantly smaller than what has previously been provided and will not cover our costs of delivering the West Cheshire Autism Hub services.

It is currently unclear what the financial offer could provide, where this would be provided and how it would work for autistic adults in our community in terms of accessing support. We hope that clarification will be available very soon.

This current funding situation has sadly put us in a very difficult position and means that the West Cheshire Autism Hub is at risk of closing by the end of January 2026.

Though our options are very limited, we are looking at everything we can to try to find a solution and for our service to remain open.

We will keep you updated on any progress made and hope that we can find a solution soon.

Thank you for your ongoing support for our services!
