Pathway Support Coordinator
Amanda is the newest member of the West Cheshire Autism Hub team. Amanda joined us from Dial West Cheshire where she had been working on the New Leaf project. As Pathway Support Coordinator, Amanda supports our members via 1:1 appointments, monthly check-ins, and at the pop in and chat session on a Wednesday. Amanda is a fact finder and can often be found on the phone or sending emails on behalf of members ensuring that they have all the information they need to be able to access a service or complete a task. Amanda also keeps our social media channels busy, creates our monthly newsletter and makes sure our website is up to date.
Amanda’s autism experience comes from her 7 years as a volunteer with the Cheshire West and Chester branch of National Autistic Society. As a volunteer she supported autistic individuals and their families on the phone, on email and face to face at the support centre at Greenbank school. Amanda supported Karen to deliver training sessions and went out and about across Cheshire to various autism support groups with a boot full of autism books! Amanda has an autistic family member who she has been advocating for throughout his life and has learnt a huge amount about autism as a result.
Amanda’s passion is running and when she isn’t working, can be found out on the muddy trails of Cheshire and North Wales, getting wet feet and admiring the views.
