The course is for anyone diagnosed autistic as an adult. It will cover different topics each week including social communication and connection, exploring sensory issues and how these affect you, executive functioning, masking, autistic burnout and associated mental health difficulties, exploring the strengths of autism and helping to build a positive autistic identity.
Topic based sessions delivered by our manager Karen McGuinness, will focus on a different type of transition each month. These sessions take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month 10 – 11:30am. The sessions will include lots of helpful strategies and advice, plus some will include living skills like managing money or meal planning.
Our transition peer support group is on the last Thursday of each month 10 - 11:30am, providing an opportunity to share lived experiences and strategies with other autistic people.
